Apple released the anticipated iOS 7.1.2 update this morning. As expected, the update contains bug fixes and security updates. Of main interest, the update contains an iBeacon fix:
From Apple’s release notes:
“improves iBeacon connectivity and stability”
Pretty vague, eh? Our guess is the changes are too insignificant to make a material impact on anything developers have in the works.
We’ll keep you updated as we take a look into the changes ourselves.
Also of interest, it seems that updating to iOS 7.1.2 re-enables Bluetooth on iOS devices which have previously disabled it. Intentional or not on Apple’s part? Seems a bit too trivial to be intentional, however.
